Dre Monseth | Graphic Designer, Consultant

I've been a graphic designer since before I even knew that was a thing. I remember playing with Microsoft Paint on my dad's computer and coloring in pixels to create interesting designs and pictures. I would use tacky clipart and fonts to create my youth group's monthly calendars. I still remember the day I saw a commercial for a graphic design program at a local college and I had my aha moment – Oh, that's what you call it? THAT'S what I want to do.
I officially began graphic designing freelance in 2005. I've had stretches where it was on the side of other employment, and in this season, it's on the side of being a mom. My daughter just started kindergarten this year and right when I thought I may be getting some daytime hours to myself, my son made his appearance :-) Working as a self-employed designer affords me the freedom to determine my own job flow – which means if I take on your project it's because I WANT to. This tends to foster creativity and probably makes me a lot more pleasant to work with.
And I'm more than a designer — I'm also a consultant. I'll get up to my elbows in your message, seeking to understand not just what you want to say, but how you want your audience to feel about it. I will give you feedback and provide a perspective that can be hard to see when you're so close. It's my job to make sure that your message is as clear and compelling as possible. Because in a world of noise, quality matters.
I love what I do and I look forward to working with you!
